The Process

A good color consultant incorporates existing furnishings, lifestyle & personal tastes, as well as structural elements in the process of choosing colors.  My job is to collaborate with my clients in the decision making process.  I bring years of color theory as well as an intuitive sense to my work.  The passion that I have for design and color facilitates making color choices and ultimately results in a living space that inspires as well as supports your spirit.

Rather than just choosing pretty colors, we will explore how colors make you feel, what you and your family gravitate or respond to and start the process there. Additionally, I am a certified Interior Redesign Specialist and can help you discover how you can further enhance your home using your existing furnishings.

Services & skills:

• Provide a personal evaluation of your preferences and plans for your space.  Importance is given to individualizing a color formulary for you and your family rather than following color trends.
• Accentuate your home’s best features and downplay problem areas. 
• Provide a color strategy: what colors go where in addition to WHERE they start and end (room to room, in open space plans)
• Consider your homes historical and architectural qualities in prescribing an exterior color scheme for your home. 
• Knowledge of color theory and how colors affect us in designing a personalized color scheme. 
• Help you determine what finishes that are appropriate for specific locations, ie: Matte, Flat, Eggshell, Semi-gloss, etc. 
• Coordinate exterior colors of your home/business to compliment color scheme of landscaping, roofing and architectural elements.
• Provide you with Decorative Painting recommendations (Venitian Plaster, Faux, Trompe L’oile)  as well as contact information.
• Provide you with Paint material information as well as refer you to painters that I have worked with.
• Share my network of artists and authentic artwork.
